Can I use my eway transponder on more than one vehicle?

For the service to work correctly, each eway transponder is paired with one specific vehicle. If you have more than one vehicle, we will send you different transponders, free of charge.

What should I do if I lose my transponder?

Does the transponder emit radiation? Could it be dangerous for my health?

Our cutting edge eway transponder is manufactured in Austria. The appliance remains passive (emitting no radiation at all). It is activated only when the vehicle enters the electronic lane emitting a minimum quantity of radiation for a fraction of a second towards the antenna that is installed at the lane.

Therefore, there is no reason for concern when using the transponder.

What size is the transponder, and how long does it last?

The transponder’s dimensions are 63 mm x 40 mm x 10 mm without the base, operating on a 3 V lithium battery, with a shelf life of more than seven years.

I have not used eway for quite some time. Can I still use it?

There is no time restriction for using eway provided that you have enough funds in your eway account for the transaction to go through.

I want to close my eway account. What should I do?

What are the vehicle categories at Aegean Motorway?

Category 1: Bicycles, tricycles.

Category 2: Light vehicles with or without a trailer and height up to 2.20 m.

Category 3: Vehicles with or without trailers, with two or three axles and height over 2.20 m.

Category 4: Vehicles with or without trailers, with four or more axles and height over 2.20 m.

How many vehicles can I include in my eway account?

There is no restriction as to how many vehicles you can include in your eway account. The vehicles are registered under the same subscription program, with toll fees charged to the same account.
